🏆 Cups, Awards and a Full November

WE DID IT.

Question 8 is dead. Massachusetts voters said No to repealing adult-use cannabis, so legal sales, the people who work in this industry and the events in this newsletter are here to stay. Thank you to everyone who knocked on doors, made calls, posted and voted. Now let’s go celebrate.

It’s a new beginning for Massachusetts cannabis, and for Jason’s High Lights too. Changes are coming over the next few weeks. Know someone in the industry who should be getting this? Forward it, or send them to jasonshighlights.com.

November is cup and awards season. The Harvest Cup takes over the DCU Center in Worcester, Best in Grass hands out its Massachusetts awards in Boston, and MJBizCon closes out the trade show year in Las Vegas. Here’s what’s worth planning for over the next few weeks.

1. The Harvest Cup - Worcester, MA
Two days of competition, vendor booths, judged awards and live glass blowing at the DCU Center, Nov 13-14.

2. Best in Grass Massachusetts Awards Show - Boston, MA
Red carpet, cocktails and live winner announcements for Massachusetts growers and producers at Royale on Nov 19.

3. NYCRA Women’s Soirée & Awards - New York, NY

4. Weeding Out The Stoned - Newark, NJ

Now Streaming: The Feds Said Never Again: Jason Harris of Jerome Baker Designs | Ep. 103

In 2003, Jason Harris was one of 55 people caught up in a single federal case. He wore an ankle monitor and was told never to make his signature pieces again. More than 20 years later, Jerome Baker Designs is still standing.

On Episode 103, Jason talks with Harris about the federal case, why his name isn’t actually Jerome, blowing glass in hotel rooms on tour, opening in New York, and where the brand goes next.
